There's one feature in Pods which I find useful is that when you rename a CPT or a field, it will also update accordingly in the database. This will save much time without having to alter the database values directly.

It's extremely rare that you don't want the data to be transferred to the new field key when you change its name. This should be default behaviour, rather than having to play around with MySQL queries to transfer the data of the current post to the new key name to the old key name.
